I wanted to promote meditation because what I have seen in the promotion of meditation. In the past I have heard different claims of finding peace and accessing different levels of consciousness. When I hear that my 1st thoughts are “ I don’t have time to access a different level of conscious, the peace of mind sounds good though.” I brought meditation to the New Years show. Because free simple ways to relieve stress are a good idea. Also because I will be try meditation. To gain more info I downloaded Meditation for Dummies by Stephan Bodian. It was a great start for me and gave me what I needed to give meditation a try. Here is a summary of the 1st timers. ( the book evaluates each of these steps and provides more details and different forms of meditation.
Sit comfortably and with your back straight if possible.
Take deep breaths about 4 or 5
Relax ( there is a chapter on how to relax)
Choose a word of phrase with deep meaning to you ( not “I need money” as Michelle Suggested in the show)
